The church was built by the residents of the settlement Pišća as early as 1298. It was dedicated to St. Elijah the Prophet in 1493. The church is enclosed by an oval wall, within which remnants of graves can be seen. Once a year, on July 30th, during the Votive Day of the Parish of Vodice, a Holy Mass is held in the church.
Jednom godišnje, 30. srpnja uz Zavjetni dan župe Vodice, u njoj se održava sveta misa.
