Tonight, on July 1st, under the auspices of the Vodice Tourist Board, the seventh Vodice Street Festival was officially opened. In the heart of our city, the streets, squares, and alleys are filled with joy, color, and an unforgettable atmosphere.
This year's Vodice Street Festival, the most joyful and colorful event in Vodice, will last for nine days. During this period, visitors of all generations will have the opportunity to find a corner for relaxation, creativity, and fun.
The central event was the opening of an exhibition by the Ukrainian artist Ksenija Noryk, called "Vodice Motifs". The guests were warmly greeted by Anita Franin Pečarica, the director of the Vodice Tourist Board office, and the mayor, Ante Cukrov.
"I personally would like the festival to last much longer, to channel all these programs, exhibitions into our old town center, alleys, and small streets, and bring them to life as much as possible. We will strive to take one small step forward each year. Our goal is for exhibitors to be from Vodice, to present our artists to guests," said Mayor Cukrov.
Ksenija Noryk, the author of the exhibition, presented about 50 of her works created during the period she was a guest in Vodice, as well as during the past year when she moved to Vodice permanently.
For tomorrow, July 2nd, the second day of the festival, visitors can expect a rich program: a sales exhibition of handicrafts and art works, a workshop "Sea and Us", a Gallery under the Stars with an exhibition by Ksenija Noryk "Vodice Motifs", a "Flags" workshop, a children's play "Eco Bunny Looking for Mom", Family Show "World of Magic", and a concert by the Pay per View duo. All activities start at 19:30, at various locations on the alleys and in the garden, and on the waterfront from 21:00.
