Weather Forecast: Rising Temperatures and Stable Conditions

A high pressure field over the Adriatic Sea will keep frontal systems at a fair distance, mostly moving north, securing stable weather and mostly sunny and clear skies in the week ahead. Notably warmer air from the south will increase temperatures, causing discomfort during sleep for many due to high night temperatures.

By midweek, the weather will be predominantly clear with light winds. After the night bora, the winds will follow the sun's movement, turning to maestral in the afternoon hours. This will provide daily cooling for the coast, making the temperatures more tolerable compared to the hinterland, peaking at 33°C.

A weakened front passing north of Dalmatia midweek will bring more cloudiness and a shift to moderate jugo wind. Maximum daytime temperatures will slightly increase, while nighttime temperatures will approach uncomfortable levels, ranging between 25 and 28°C.

Heat will subside slightly during Friday and the first half of the weekend due to wind changes caused by system passage, making the temperatures more comfortable, ranging between 24 and 34°C.

Based on current forecasts, a new heatwave is expected to begin on Sunday and continue into the next week. With clear skies and light stable summer winds, air temperatures will be rising, ranging between 24 and 36°C.

The sea, currently at 24°C, will warm up due to abundant sunshine and the jugo wind in midweek. Those who find higher temperatures uncomfortable can swim in the open coast areas outside heated bays where the sea temperature will be a few degrees lower, especially in the morning hours.
